DMS Converter app for iPhone and iPad
Developer: Geospike Pty Ltd
First release : 31 Aug 2010
App size: 7.1 Mb
Easily convert between Decimal Degrees and Degrees/Minutes/Seconds (Dº M S") notation.
Then, easily view the converted coordinate in the Maps app, or send it to GPS Log (our app for recording your travels). Or copy to the clipboard using the standard iPhone functions.
Fuzzy parsing logic allows you to input coordinates in a variety of ways, like N 28° 11 47", E 86° 49 40, and S37° 56.679 E145° 10.141. Most of the formats used by major geocaching web sites are supported.

I need to record gps coords in decimal form for work and this app is perfect. Simple and effective it works as advertised. Open the app and hit update from device to get your current location displayed in DMS and decimal. Tells you the gps accuracy in meters and you can quickly check in map view to make sure your device has correctly acquired the location. Thanks!
This is exactly what I needed. Some of my co workers use DMS and some use DD. This Ap is a very simple tool to quickly convert between the two. The only thing that would improve it would be the addition of more formats.
Heres an update to my earlier review. ITS FIXED! Thanks for listening! 8^) Previous review: Seems to work once you figure out the format requirements. Its pretty lame to require the direction abreviations, N, S, E, W to be input in upper case only! Once you figure that out, it seems fine. (Escecially funny since they brag about their "fuzzy parsing logic". 8^) Thanks for making it free and with a little work could be a nice clean, mean app.
Great app to use for getting specific information to the NWS while out storm spotting!! Great for us ham operators when out in the field when accurate info is a necessity.
Finally an easier way to truly navigate. Thanks
